Application Process

Do we suit each other? The decision lies with you as well!

The first step in our selection process is the evaluation of your application documents. If they arouse our interest, the second step for us is to invite you to a telephone interview or directly to Mannheim for a selection interview. The interview is usually conducted in three stages, regardless of the nature of the vacant position. During this process, you will be introduced to various J&M employees. The procedure offers you the opportunity to meet potential colleagues and to come to your own conclusions regarding your compatibility. Our advantage is that we can assess each stage of the interview process objectively and decide how to progress.

These three stages are either all covered in one day or over several days. The first stage involves you meeting us and us meeting you in person for the first time. We tell you something about J&M and you are given the opportunity to introduce yourself. You are of course able to ask us questions at any time. In the second interview we would like to hear more about your specialist know-how. You are asked to solve a brief case study and other spontaneous tasks. The third meeting is aimed at getting to know you in more detail, both personally and professionally, allowing us to form an overall picture of you.

We generally inform you of our decision within one week of the interview.

Tips for the documents to include with your application


It is important for us that your application includes a detailed covering letter, a CV in tabular format and copies of all relevant certificates (school-leaving certificate, university or college degree, job references). An application including all the above documentation already tells us a lot about you. It shows that you are seriously interested in J&M.
