Supply Chain Days 2010
"Forward Strategies within the Supply Chain", 9. - 10. June 2010, Heidelberg, Germany
A difficult economic situation, the ever-increasing need for shorter response-times, and permanent cost-cutting are the challenges industrial supply chains are facing today. To survive in today’s market you need to map your supply chain closely onto your customer’s needs and at the same time preserve your solvency.
The slogan for the Supply Chain Days 2010 was ‘Forward Strategies within the Supply Chain – Maximisation of Customer Orientation, Growth and Profitability’. This leading conference highlighted effective real-life models of supply chain management and showed innovative approaches. The Supply Chain Days offered an outstanding chance to establish meaningful contacts with decision-makers. During the two-day event, around 120 supply chain specialists, business leaders and scientists discussed strategies, experience reports, new methods and current issues relating to SCM. Amongst other things, contributors focused on customer-oriented supply chains, on supply chain collaboration and on the ability to respond, as well as on working capital, leadership and globalisation 2.0.
