WirtschaftsWoche places J&M amongst the Best of Consulting
Held by WirtschaftsWoche for the first time in 2010, the Best of Consulting competition saw Mannheim-based J&M Management Consulting AG reach the final and earn a place in the top 3 companies in the Supply Chain Strategy category.
Roland Tichy, editor in chief at the WirtschaftsWoche magazine and chairman of the competition jury, provides further details: 'We have established the Best of Consulting competition in order to give SMEs transparency on the consulting market. A combination of supply chain strategy expertise and consistent consulting quality enabled J&M to qualify for the final round of this year’s awards.' This success comes off the back of a strong J&M performance in the 2009 Hidden Champions Study, which saw Prof. Dietmar Fink and the business magazine Capital name the firm Best Management Consultancy for Supply Chain Processes. Lünendonk places J&M in its Top 10 Management Consultancies for SMEs.

'Our goal is to make our clients value chain champions' explain Dr.-Ing. Frank Jenner and Dr. Andreas Müller, spokesmen for the board at J&M Management Consulting. 'These awards show that we are the ideal consulting partner for the entire value chain at industrial companies – ahead of bigger names such as Roland Berger or McKinsey. With the Hidden Champions Study already having confirmed this where large companies in Germany are concerned, the Best of Consulting competition has now emphasised our strength in the SME sector.'

Founded in 1997, J&M is now one of the leading consultancy firms for entire value chains at industrial, retail and services companies. In the words of Dr.-Ing. Frank Jenner: 'J&M stands for comprehensive consultancy. Our consultants use a blend of management and IT consulting to optimise our client companies’ entire value chains, as well as integrate strategies and concepts into their business processes – efficiently and reliably.' This implementation-focused consultancy style enables J&M to create sustainable value for its clients. 'J&M raises competitiveness at client companies, and generates 6 Euros in added value for every Euro they invest in J&M consultancy', explains Dr. Andreas Müller. In order to maintain these high levels of service and performance, J&M engages in continuous investment in its team of around 200 consultants. As Müller emphasises, 'The constant growth of the last 10 years shows that we are doing things right.' Prof. Dr. h.c. Lothar Späth, chairman of the board at J&M, sees the current situation as follows: 'Now more than ever, German industrial companies needs to focus on their strengths and further improve their core processes in order to remain competitive.'
